well.. can i sugguest our first read... I really have a great idea. If people are open.

Count me in. I WANT to read more!! This is a good excuse to do so!! In fact, I'm reading this cool book called "Sway" right now...

so when when when....what is the wait ...we have a group.
i am excited...

so after a night of chat and social , I got the group drunk and suggested they read my book to start the new book club. yeah... lol

First of all , a quick sum up. My story is about life in a Community in Nova Scotia much like communities there Stateside. where the powers that be continuously, like try to move and relocate Blacks.. They would have pushed us into the Ocean, if they thought they could get away with it.
My family's home is called Africville. I have posted some info here in Flow under the History past form. please check it for an understanding to set up the story.

What's important for me to convey to my American Brother's and sister's is.. I am not a lost Black person living in Canada. He have quite a large tribe here. We are your History. When slavery existed and ended a branch of your History traveled.
The underground railroad didn't end in United States.
We are here. we have always been here. We are the slaves brought from Africa , traded in the Carribean , sold in American , beaten and raped and we escaped.
now we are here..living the same ....almost existance but not connected to our American family..and we is COLD lol

so for a copy of my story please send me a not through Flow with your email address. i sugguest you print it up. please don;t read it from the computer.
I think it will make a nice over the Holiday's read and in Jan we can set a date for discussion and chat...oui?

I saw your webpage, and WOW! You are like a new embodiment of Josephine Baker. I did a biography report on her in 5th grade where I had to dress like her as I gave my report aloud. Of course at that age, I was quite a bit more modest, but seeing your picture next to hers made me wonder to myself.... What were YOU doing!?!

Anyway, I see the synopsis of your book, but I don't see the title or where to get it. HELP???

Also I would like to suggest that we get RAIN OF GRACE NEW & SELECTED POEMS by SIAM for our next reading.
