Enjoying Life while Life is Enjoying You
Before I get out the door for a short period of time, I thought I would post a blog on my way out the door.
Enjoying life while life is enjoying you.
Today I decided to bend some corners. Basically, I just got in my car and went for a ride. I was thinking about how fortunate I was just to be able to even do such a thing. Today's economy has many of us including me having to cut back. Yet, today I didnt care. I just wanted to get out and enjoy sometime to myself. I work very hard and sometimes I dont get a chance to just chill and enjoy life. Those closest to me know how hard I work and they know what I do not only for a living but even in my leisure time, I am always working, thinking, planning and plotting. So it was good to just relax and enjoy seeing the sun, the powder blue skies, the trees and man made lakes. I thought about the struggles I have had. My failed marriage, the raising of my daughter in the face of her not having a mother to help. Yet, I can say honestly that God has been good to me. For all of the failure I have experienced God has doubled my successes. Yet I am cognizant of the fact that I still have a long ways to go. A simple drive helped me to understand that sometimes life is made to be enjoyed. Yes, you have to grind. Yes you have to think about the future. Yet, sometimes a day to do nothing is just as important. If you have life and I know you do, then enjoy it. Have fun with it. A young man once reminded me "to play after every storm". Well, I have seen my share of storms and yes.. it was good just to go out today and play.
