It was a good show... I'll be back to post my comments sometime during this weekend...

BTW, I'd like to do a roll call. Who else watched beside myself, Dancera and Pt109rick?

I don't think there's much to add to this... lol (but I have added something).  When a man knows what he likes, he knows what he likes.  I cannot tell them what they like.

Cultures are very different in how they view roles in marriages, roles in relationships, etc.  The thing is that creating some of the relationships that the men see and how the women treat their men, there is a mindset and certain expectations from both men and women in those cultures to make it happen the way the men are seeing the Latino culture.  More times than not, the women are being admired and appreciated for the roles they play in their men's lives.  They are celebrated in ways that are valued in that culture.  The celebration of these women takes the form of not leaving her with the children to raise by herself, treating her like a lady, and valuing family (no divorces... working things out).

In the American culture, I don't think that femininity is valued as much by women (when they see it in other women) or by the men.  Family is not valued in the same way in America as it is in other cultures.  When other cultures take a look at how American families live and how the men and women treat one another, it seems very much barbaric.  Just like there are certain codes of conduct in the streets when you're there, there are definitely different codes of conduct in other cultures that MUST be respected if a cross cultural relationship would work.

Bottom line is that MEN like certain things.  They LOVE sex, they LOVE being taken care of and they LOVE being respected.  If a woman can do what she does AND incorporate the meeting of those needs into what she does, then she won't be without a man.

That's all I will add for fear of writing a dissertation... lol.

P.S.  I will also add that I think American men should work on watering their own grass before they consider how green the grass is in other cultures.  Find out what they are doing right and incorporate that into your mindset and how you will treat your woman.  I will say that it IS easier if you start off with two people of similar mindsets.

In all fairness to the men, I will add that some women are LAZY in terms of how they take care of their family and their men.  In some cultures it is a PRIDE thing in how the children look, how a woman's man looks (because of the things she does to get them there).  It is there in the American culture but not the the extent that it is in other cultures.

One last point I'll make and I won't step in here anymore is that American relationships are built more on two independent people coming together whereas foreign relationships are built more on an interdependent model.

An example of this is that foreign men know that they don't have to learn how to cook because their women will be doing the cooking.  They mainly do it because they want to help out their wives.  American men and women learn how to cook (maybe), clean, etc while learning how to make their money.  This doesn't bode too well for relationships.

I still haven't had time to post comments yet... but I will soon...

BTW Al, you can post any of the other shows here as well if you think it will generate discussion...
