Is it Okay for a Woman to Preach?

I already know that this is a very hot topic and one that most have very strong views on. Some think it's ok and  some think it's not ok, but both can back it up with scriptures. I think God already answered the question. God is all powerful and nothing is impossible for Him. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. God can do anything. Since we, as believers know all that to be true, then do we follow God, lead God or go our own separate but equal way. Is God the same yesterday, today and forever? He has not changed.  Is God a respecter of persons? Is Jesus our example? If Jesus did not do something, would you not do it also? Now then, knowing what has already been established, ask yourself these two questions; Of all 12 disciples chosen by Jesus, why wasn't there at least 1 woman? What woman did Jesus tell to spread the Gospel? Was God prejudice, a sign of ancient times, or some other reason you can think of?

well... honestly i dont think there is nothing wrong with a woman preaching the gospel. In fact there were female prophets like Deborah in the old testament.Read Judges Chapter 4 and 5. Also, women were in the upper room when the baptism of the Holy Ghost came. Read Acts Chapter 2. Christ appeared to Mary first after His ressurrection, so she carried the news that He was risen first.

As far as why Jesus didnt choose a woman among His disciples, you have to ask Him that. However, women in the life of Jesus played a significant role to say the least.

God was not prejudice, also it was no secret in biblical times that women at times were discriminated against from a cultural standpoint. Paul was quoted as saying that women are to remain silent in church. However, I believe this was due to a number of things. One, cultural. Two, Some women were not allowed to study the scriptures, so their knowledge of the scriptures was limited.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown, but I wont put mine down until I see Him.
