Couple's 'Abort or Keep' Website: What do you think of them?

The Arnolds want you to decide whether they should have an abortion. And our first instinct is, if they want the fate of their baby to be decided by the general public, then they probably don't deserve this child.

According to Gawker, married couple Pete and Alisha Arnold, both 30, are the brainiacs behind Birthornot.com, where "you can vote and choose whether we abort or keep our unborn child."

Since September, the Minneapolis-area tech professionals have blogged about the pregnancy at birthornot.com, posting updates about the mother and the now 17-week-old boy along with ultrasound pictures and video.

But at the top of the blog is a poll hosted by PollDaddy.com, featuring the question: "Should We Give Birth or Have an Abortion?" The poll closes on December 7.

Pete told Gawker that he and Alisha will use the results to decide whether to keep the baby -- and they say it's not a prank or a publicity stunt.

"It's definitely not a pro-life campaign," she said. "I believe in a woman's right to choose."

The couple, who have been married for 10 years, say they've been unsure about whether they're ready to be parents. We'd say they're definitely not ready -- and if they do decide to keep the baby, maybe they should consider giving him to a far more appreciative set of parents.

I suppose a majority decision will prevail in their case. There seems to be no boundaries anymore toward life. Those so called freedoms the constitution speaks so highly of that govern America are the same freedoms that will some day destroy America.

It seems like the parents don't want blood on their hands ... literally. They think that having the decision taken out of their hands makes them better parents. I say it makes them cowards.

Abortion is definitely not an easy thing to consider, especially when you're in the midst of the situation, but this genius idea for a website is sick ... imagine if they keep the child ... what story will they tell him when he gets older.

Perhaps they will wait to see how many people will vote for them to keep the baby. If 100,000 people vote for the couple to keep the baby, it would not surprise me if they also asked for a monthly donation, say 5 dollars or more. I smell a rat or slick way to make a lot of cash.
I believe I saw where a lady was asking for people to vote for her to get a divorce or stay married, a while back. This could be the latest craze. What's next, a vote for Santa to come down the chimney or through the door?

*chuckles* Well, considering I don't have a chimney ... PT ... I thought the same thing. They're making money someway out of this ... it is a sick way to make money though.

I have to be honest. I read this and it made me sick. Not that one would consider abortion... they are not the first and it SHOULD be a very personal decision to consider... To decide that you would allow people that have no knowledge or interest in you, your child or your life make a decision like this is horrid.  That someone could be that indifferent.... ughhhh...

What happens if they decide not to have an abortion? Will they feed it or take a survey first? What happens to a child that learns its life literally depended on the click of a mouse... damn ridiculous.
